NBA -- Foye's 3 sinks Clippers in Denver

SAN FRANCISCO -- Randy Foye drilled a 30-foot 3 as time expired and the Denver Nuggets squeaked past the visiting Los Angeles Clippers, 116-115, Monday night at the Pepsi Center.

Foye's heroics came after Matt Barnes sank a 3 that gave the Clippers a 115-113 lead with 6.2 seconds to go.

"That's probably one of the top moments in my playing career," Foye, an 8-year NBA veteran told NBA.com. He finished with 14 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

Kenneth Faried registered 28 points and 11 rebounds for Denver and Tyson Lawson added 27. The Nuggets moved to 23-23 in the overall standings.

The Clippers fell to 34-17 and lost despite having a monster night from Blake Griffin, who tallied a game-high 36 points with 11 boards. DeAndre Jordan chipped in 19 and 12 rebounds while Jamal Crawford came off the Clippers bench with 19. (RPM)
