SAN FRANCISCO -- Nate Robinson's 3 with 1:39 left in the final period gave the Denver Nuggets the separation they needed in a close match and went on to beat the Toronto Raptors, 112-98, Sunday afternoon at the Air Canada Centre.
Robinson's harvest totaled 23 points and five assists. He sank 9-of-14 field goals and 5-of-8 triples and Denver improved to 10-6 for the season.
Point guard Ty Lawson also had a solid effort for the Nuggets with 16 points and six assists while teammate Timofey Movgoz added 16 points and 15 big rebounds as the Nuggets shot 50.6 percent from the field (44-of-87) and 43.5 percent from 3-point range (10-of-23).
Rudy Gay led the Raptors with 23 points while Jonas Valaciunas and Kyle Lowry added 16 apiece. The Raptors made only 35 of 87 field goals and lost their third straight to fall at 6-10. (RM)
