Filipino minimum weight Wilber Andogan has dropped an eight round decision to Thailand?s WBA No. 7 ranked Fahlan Sakkreerin Jr in Surat Thani, a city on the Central Gulf Coast of Southern Thailand.
With the defeat 22 year old Andogan dropped to 9-12-4 with 3 knockouts and was coming off a dismal record of 4 defeats and one technical draw in his last five fights while the 20 year old Sakkreerin Jr, son of the former IBF light flyweight champion Fahlan Sakkreerin Sr, had a record of 22-2 with 14 knockouts.
Andogan figured in a 3rd round technical draw against Roilo Golez in a WBC Asia Boxing Council Interim title fight last February 16 in Paranaque.
He had earlier lost by a 6th round technical decision to former Thai Olympian Amnat Ruenroeng on October 19 last year. At the time of the stoppage due to a nasty cit caused by an accidental clash of heads, Ruenroeng was winning by a 60-55 shutout on the scorecards of all three judges.
Prior to the Ruenroeng fight, Andogan had lost three fights in a row to Thai opponents, one by knockout and two by TKO.
