TWO FILIPINO BOXERS LOSE IN WBC REGIONAL TITLE FIGHTS

Two Filipino boxers have lost in WBC regional title fights in Thailand with super flyweight Alvin Bais suffering a 2nd round knockout at the hands of Srisaket Sor Rungvisai in a WBC Asia Boxing Council title fight in North Bangkok University and Roilo Golez dropping a 12 round unanimous decision in a WBC International minimum weight title showdown to Wanheng Menayothin.

A third Pinoy boxer super bantamweight Ray ?StingRay? Las Pinas meantime lost by a knockout to undefeated 21 year old Japanese Tomoki Kameda after being counted out at 1:23 of the fourth round in Osaka.

With the win Kameda improved top 26-0 with 17 knockouts while Las Pinas fell to 17-7-4 with 11 knockouts.

WBC No.2 ranked world contender Srisaket, the 25 year old Thai improved his record to 16-1-1 with 15 knockouts while the 24 year old Bais suffered his first defeat and dropped to 13-1 with 3 knockouts.

The 27 year old Menayothin who is ranked No. 3 in the world by the WBC upped his unbeaten record to 25-0 with 8 knockouts in his third successful defense of the WBC International minimum weight title fight against Golez who is ranked No. 6 by the ABC.
