CUELLO-SINGWANGCHA WEIGHS 116 LBS 30 DAYS BEFORE LOPEZ CLASH

The World Boxing Council imposes a thirty day before fight weigh-in for the purpose of monitoring the respective weights of each fighter thus avoiding future problems in making the required weight and possibly risking the whole championship event. WBC Straw Weight Silver World Champion Denver Cuello-Singwangcha came in handily at 115 pounds during the thirty day weigh in held at the Jaro Boxing Stable in Binangonan, Rizal. The maximum allowable weight by the WBC within the period is 116 pounds. Present to supervise the weigh-in were Dr. Nasser Cruz and Ralf Diokno of the Games and Amusement Board. Also present were boxing Manager and International Promoter Aljoe Jaro and Las Vegas based boxing trainer Carlos Vasquez.

The WBC Silver Championship fight and World Title Eliminator between Denver Cuello-Singwagcha and Ganigan Lopez will be held on May 19, 2012 in Mexico with the specific venue yet to be announced. The winner will be the mandatory challenger for the regular WBC World Strawweight belt currently being held by Japan's Kazuto Ioka. The Cuello-Lopez clash is organized by Mexico's Canelo Promotions in partnership with Jaro Promotions International.
