Sonny Boy Jaro defends IBF Pan Pacific title June 18

Sonny Boy Jaro will get to defend his IBF light flyweight Pan Pacific title at the Ynares Plaza in Binangonan, Rizal this June 18 against Rey Migreno.

Promoter Aljoe Jaro informed Philboxing that he has given Sonny Boy another chance now that he is back in his stable. Jaro (32W-10L-5D, 21 KO's) scored a first round knockout win over Henry Acha last May 14 in Maigo, Lanao del Norte. He won the IBF regional title last May 31. 2010 with a sixth round KO win over Arman dela Cruz. Jaro has not defended the title since.

Migreno (14W- 15L-2D, 12 KO's) has previously held the PABA flyweight belt.

Aljoe Jaro hopes his fighter will continue to win so that he can fight for an IBF eliminator against Nerys Espinosa of Nicaragua, a fight he hopes to bring to the Philippines. The 29 year old Sonny Boy has previously won the Philippine and OPBF lt.flyweight titles but lost to Giovani Segura of Mexico in a single round in an attempt to win the WBA world light flyweight title.

Scheduled to see action in the action in the undercard are E. Gabejan Singwangcha and Vivin Rufino for the Phil. Featherweight title and Tampos M. Singwangcha versus Jovil Marayan. This card is billed as LABAN NG LAHI:DUGONG PINOY 3.

Aljoe Jaro also informed that this promotion is held in partnership with Naris Singwangcha of Thailand, GMA7 network, Gov. Junjun Ynares, Cong. Joel Duavit and Mayor Boyet Ynarez.
