Marco Demecillo Singwangcha of Cebu City will fight for the Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) jr. bantamweight title against Dondon Jimenea of Manila this September 26 at the Guadalupe Osme?a Village in Punta Princesa, Cebu City.
Demecillo (5W-0L-1D, 4 KO's) is one of the rising prospects of Promoter Rex ?Wakee? Salud. He is also one of the boxers sponsored by Thai Promoter Naris Singwangcha and they bear the surname in the ring as a gesture of respect. Last June Demecillo needed only 37 seconds and brutal combinations to the body to stop Isidro Balatbat of Bohol in the first round in Lapu-lapu City. Then in Sibonga last August, he stopped Joash Apericio with a single lightning left hook in the ninth round.
Jimenea (23W-12L-4D, 11 KO's) is the more experienced fighter having fought the likes of Fernando Lumacad, Pramuansak Posuwan, Glen Porras and current WBO Oriental flyweight champ Arden Diale.
For the supporting bouts: C. Delada Singwangcha of Cebu will face JR Magboo of Manila in a six round jr.bantamweight fight and Romnick Magos of Cebu City versus Elmer Pono of Mandaue City in a four round jr. bantamweight contest. There will be seven pairs of amateur bouts to serve as the evening's curtain raisers. Fight time is at 7 P.M. This boxing card is presented by Naris and Wakee Boxing Promotions.
