AMERICAN BOXING ACADEMY STORMS ZAMBOANGA CITY

Fighters from American Boxing Academy led by WBO Inter-Continental champ Ramie Laput will land in Zamboanga March 6th for this Friday nights fights.

Laput, the WBO #7 world rated junior featherweight, will be using the event as a tuneup for his impending fight abroad. Laput is matched against a bigger, but obviously overmatched Rene Bucag [4-9] of Zamboanga City.

ABA manager Ken Smith said this about Laputs bout "Ramie is just taking this bout to stay busy until we finalize his upcoming bout overseas."

Also slated for the event is #1 rated Filipino flyweight Fernando Lumacad who is scheduled to see action in a rematch with Arnold Montojo of Bohol. The fighters figured in a technical draw caused by an accidental headbutt in their last meeting.

American Boxing Academy is also expecting to showcase up and coming super flyweight Bert Udtuhan, 7-0 6KOs, in a 6-round bout against another unbeaten fighter Kent Marmol of Zamboanga. Also expecting to see action is crowd pleasing light flyweight slugger Ricardo Claveria 7-0 4KOs. Claveria who has become a crowd favorite because of his fearless fighting style will take on BroBro Lanqiudo in a 6 round battle.

ABA featherweight Cerilo Espino 8-2 is matched against the tough hometown boy Roland Teofilo in a 8round battle.. Rounding out the card will be young undefeated[3-0] ABA upstart Joebert "Sugar" De los Reyes in 4 rounds against Nelson Nabi.
