DIGOS CITY--Ramie Laput of the ABA Boxing Stable will attempt to add another title to his trophy case when he faces compatriot Donriel Marcos in a 12-round brawl tonight for the more prestigious WBO Intercontinental superbantam title at the Digos City Gym.
Promoter Ken Smith, who founded the Digos City-based ABA, has prepared a solid line-up of matches for today's event, which will also feature other promising fighters from the ABA line-up.
Both Laput and Marcos easily made weight at yesterday's final weigh-in held at the City Gym of Digos.
If successful, Laput will add the title to his WBO Asia Pacific crown, assuring for himself better world ranking than his current WBO no. 13 standing.
WBO Asia Pacific chairman Leon Panoncillo is personally supervising the bout. Third man on the ring will be Delbert Peligrino of Tagbilaran City.
