WBC light flyweight champion Edgar Sosa of Mexico is set to defend his title against Sonny Boy Jaro of the Philippines on Sep. 27 at La Arena Mexico in Mexico City. This was announced during a press conference held at the Geneve de la Zona Rosa Hotel by promoter Dr. Fausto Daniel Garcia and attended by WBC President Don Jose Sulaiman yesterday.
Sosa (32-5-1 17KOs) won the title on April 4 of last year against Fil-Am Brian Viloria and had successfuly defended five times since.
Jaro (28-6-5 17KOs) is the current OPBF light flyweight champion after he won the title against Along Denoy last June 20 in Palawan.
