Undefeated heavyweight prospect Dainier "The Fear" Pero delivered a ruthless display of power and body work at the Caribe Royale Orlando, stopping challenger Aleem Whitfield at 2:20 of the third round to retain his WBA Continental USA Heavyweight championship.
Entering the ring with an unblemished record, the 6-foot-5 Cuban southpaw Dainier Pero brought an elite amateur pedigree to the scheduled 10-round contest. A former gold medalist at both the 2016 AIBA Youth World Championships and the 2019 Pan-American Games, a two-time Cuban national champion, and a 2020 Tokyo Olympian, Pero turned professional with high expectations. Coming off consecutive second-round stoppage victories over Mario Aguilar Lopez and Donald Haynesworth, Pero aimed to continue his march up the heavyweight ranks.
Opposing him was Geneva, New York's Aleem Whitfield.
