GAB to give managers, matchmakers and trainers 3 years license

THE Games and Amusement Board [GAB] is now planning to allow the license of managers, matchmakers and trainers to be effective for the next three years.

GAB Chairman Atty. Francisco Rivera met with officers of the Philippine Boxing Federation [PBF] led by its president Gabriel “Bebot” Elorde today, May 12 at the GAB office.

“It will save us money and reduce the time we have to constantly renew our licenses,” said Elorde.

GAB is presently requiring managers, matchmakers and trainers to renew their license every year.

Also present were PBF vice-president Glenford Rafa, Jun Sarreal, matchmaker Art Monis, John Bosco Cedill and Marc Lontayao.

Meanwhile, PBF is now registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission [SEC].

PBF is also planning to start its first Inter-City Professional Boxing tournament in August.
