CHALLENGER Reymond “Robocop” Yanong of Escalante City arrived in Japan today to fight undefeated Hiroki Horiike of Japan for the Orient and Pacific Boxing Federation super lightweight title on May 5 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo.
The 32-year-old Yanong [18-10-1, 12KOs] is accompanied by Coach Jayvee Alipio and manager Brico Santig of Highland Boxing.
“It's okay, my condition is fine,” said Yanong.
They met matchmaker Ulyses Sato today.
“I think I can do it. I'll just do what I can to win,” said Yanong, who is fighting 140 lbs.
The official weigh-in will be tomorrow.
Yanong recently beat Japanese Hayato Ono by a split decision last February 3 in Korakuen Hall.
Horiike [7-0-0, 3KOs] recently retained the OPBF title by outplaying Joo Young Kimby a majority decision last January 18 in Seoul.
