THE Philippines is one of favorites in triathlon in the 33rd Southeast Asian Games set on December 17 to 19 at the Leam Mae Phim, Klaeng distic in Rayong Province, Thailand.
The PH triathlon team is composed of Raven Faith Alcoseba, Erika Nicole Burgos, Kira Ellis, Marion Kim Mangrobang, Fernando Jose Casares, Matthew Justine Hermosa, Inaki Emil Lorbes and Andrew Kim Remolino.
The events on December 17 are Men Team 3 Men Relay Finals at 7 am.
It will be followed by Women Team 3 Women Relay Finals and the Mixed Team Mixed Relay 2 Men+ 2 Women Finals.
On December 19, the Men's Individual Finals at 7am followed by the Women's Individual Finals at 9am.
The triathlon has gained increasing attention in line with the public’s growing interest in health and fitness.
However, it requires extensive physical preparation before competing.
In the 31st SEA Games, the most recent edition to feature the sport, the Philippines achieved outstanding results, winning three out of four gold medals in the triathlon and duathlon.
