Traya now in Thailand for 'Battle of Bangkok' on Aug. 30

ELMO “Money Punch” Traya of Cebu is now in Bangkok for his fight against Apinun Khongsong of Thailand on August 30 for the vacant ABF Super Welterweight title at World Siam Stadium.

The fight is dubbed as the “Battle of Bangkok – championship boxing at its Finest!”.

The 30-year-old Traya [15-5-0, 10KOs] recently knocked out Sitthidet Banti in the 1st round last April 24, 2025 at the World Siam Stadium.

“I will win this fight by knockout,” said Traya, who is with his trainer Aljohn Alegria.

Traya now weighs 75 kilogram just five pounds over.

Traya also scored a 1st round knockout over Vachayan Khamon last August 2024 at Spaceplus Bangkok RCA in Bangkok.

Traya won the vacant WBF Australasia super light title by a split decision over WeiWei Liu of China last June 2023 at CSC Consolacion.

Khongsong [25-4-0, 21KOs], on the other hand, recently stopped Khemin Wongseng in the 2nd round last January 2025 in Bangkok.
