JAPETH "Pinnacle" Requinto of Tagum City will make a comeback on August 31 as he fights Thounaojam Bambam of India inside the cage at the Immanuel School of Davao in NHA Buhangin, Davao City.
The 20-year-old Requinto recently lost to Arcayos by a unanimous decision in Paranaque City.
It was a very close fight with both fighters throwing punches and kicking until the third round.
“I have recovered from the defeat,” said Requinto [5-2-0].
Requinto is now training with Coach Jay “El Calihre” Verdadero of Rush Fitness Gym.
“Aside from coach, I also spar with my teammates,” said Requinto,
Requinto vowed to win again, especially since it will be his first foreign opponent.
“Bambam, 24, is not just a fighter but an athlete with a heart of champion,” said tournament director Lloyd Anthony Abucayan of Reality Fighting League.
The event is dubbed as the “Rise of Heroes” mixed martial arts event.
"VIP tickets are sold at P250," said Abucayan.
