Lacar wins two titles over Li

UNDEFEATED Vencent “The Venum” Lacar of Surigao City bagged two vacant titles - WBC Far East and WBO Oriental flyweight for convincingly beating Chinese Bin Lu last December 28 at the Wuyuan River Stadium in Haikou, China.

The 27-year-old Lacar outslugged Lu throughout the whole 10-rounds as he threw unstoppable left-right punches.

Lu could not hit his punches as Lacar was always throwing him with body and head hits.

Chinese judge Tong Li still gave Lu the score at 94-96 but Filipino Edward Ligas [97-93] and Thai Mekin Sumon [98-92] saw it in favor of Lacar for a split decision.

Lacar, who was accompanied by manager Jo-Ay Lopez and trainer coach Ariel Lodovince, has now nine straight wins with four knockouts while Lu suffered his second loss against four wins.

Lacar earlier won the Philippine Boxing Federation flyweight title by stopping Jason Mopon of Zamboanga in the 2nd round last September 10 in Claver.

It was handled by the Asian Boxing Commission and promoted by SiQi Wu.
