AGE doesn’t matter as 40-year-old Casey Croft of Hawaii out punched Peeyalux Sanpokang of Thailand to win by unanimous decision last night, May 1 at the Mandaue City Sports Cultural and Complex in Mandaue City.
Croft was consistently hitting Sanpokang with her left-and-right punches while attacking.
Sanpokang finally had her air out in the 5th round. She was only backpedaling as Croft kept on hitting with different combinations.
In the 6th and final round, Croft remained in her position as she kept on hitting Sanpokang, who was running away throughout the round.
Croft now has 13 wins with four loses, three draws and four knockouts while 23-year-old Sanpokang suffered her 3rd loss against six wins with five knockouts.
It was Croft’s first fight this year and her 6th bout in the Philippines.
Croft had two fights last year. She lost against Japan’s Mizuki Hiruta by a 1st round technical knockout last June 13, 2023 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo.
But Croft bounced back by stopping Arisara Wisetwongsa of Thailand in the 2nd round last November 4 at the Bohol Wisdom School Gym in Tagbilaran City.
The promoters are Eva Marie Arquisola of ARQ Sports and Kenneth Rontal of Championship Boxing Development Philippines.
