NBA -- Jazz face uphill battle in Game 2

HOUSTON -- If the Utah Jazz hopes to even make it a series against the rampaging Houston Rockets, they need, among many other things, to shoot better from long distance.

In losing Game 1 via 123-101 blowout, the Jazz were outscored by 30 points from 3-point range as the Rockets made 17 of 32 treys while Utah only sank 7 of 17.

Stopping James Harden is another thing as the leading MVP candidate exploded for 41. Chris Paul also inflicted a lot of damage -- 17 points and six assists --- while Clint Capela added 16 points and 12 rebounds. P.J. Tucker was also a huge factor, contributing 15 points for Houston, which made 37 of 82 field goals overall, a decent 45.1 percent clip.

In hopes of tying the best-of-7 Western Conference Finals at 1-1, the Jazz will rely on sensational rookie Donovan Mitchell who had 21 in Game 1.

Game 2 is today at the Toyota Center in Houston where the Rockets are unbeaten so far in these playoffs.
