NBA Playoffs -- Clips rout Rockets, take 3-1 lead

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Clippers moved to within a game away of the Western Conference Finals by walloping the Houston Rockets, 128-95, in Game 4 of their series on Sunday night at the Staples Center.

After taking a slim 60-54 halftime lead, the Clippers put Game 4 beyond doubt with a 43-25 third quarter spurt that gave the No.3 seeds a comfortable 103-79 edge with 12 minutes to go.

DeAndre Jordan led the Clips' onslaught with 26 points and 17 rebounds while Blake Griffin had 18 points and 8 boards. J.J. Redick added 18 markers while Chris Paul ran the offense with 15 points and 12 assists.

The Rockets sent the Clippers to a staggering 63 times to the free throw line with Jordan going 14 of 34. The Clippers won the rebounding wars, 51-47, as well as the assists battle, 27-20.

James Harden paced the Rockets with 21 points. Dwight Howard only had 7 points and 8 rebounds.
