Doliguez and Pina set to rematch Saturday in Tijuana, Mexico
By Rich Mazon PhilBoxing.com Sat, 24 May 2014

Jun ?Hercules? Doliguez is back in Mexico in less than two months, aiming to redeem himself and avenge the only loss in his young career against Gabriel Francisco Pina.
Doliguez, (18-1-2, 14 KOs) originally from Malungon, Sarangani Province in the Philippines, suffered the first and lone defeat of his 21 fight career in the hands of Pina last April 5 in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico.
Pina (11-11-5, 4 KOs) sent Doliguez to the canvas in the 1st round and scored an upset over the previously unbeaten Filipino fighter with a Unanimous Decision win in 6 rounds of heated action last April 5.
Their initial encounter was originally scheduled as an 8 round bout in the super featherweight division but it was downgraded to a six rounder due to TV and network issues according to Doliguez?s manager, Elmer Anuran of Saved by The Bell Promotions.
This was one of the key points that led to the rematch and also both fighters agreed to fight for the second time ? less than two months after their first duel. Their 8 round featherweight contest is scheduled for tomorrow night at the Auditorio Municipal in Tijuana, Mexico.
Doliguez and Pina both made the official weight Friday afternoon in Tijuana, Mexico. Both fighters were at an identical 126 pounds in the official scales - the maximum weight cap for their featherweight bout.
They will be in the undercard of a Zanfer Promotions promoted event which will be headlined by David Sanchez and Jackie Nava in world title bouts. Mexican TV network Azteca will carry the fights in Mexico and in the United States.
