Jack ?The Assasin? Asis: The most feared man in Australia PhilBoxing.com Wed, 29 May 2013 Jack Asis. Today, Jack Asis? trainer/manager Brendon Smith, made claims that his man, is the most feared fighter in Australia and deserves a title fight. Smith, a three time world champion trainer himself, who steered Michael Katsidis to the pinnacle of the sport and is currently working with Les Sherrington and a massive team of up and comers, believes Asis is the most feared man in Australia and guarantees he will make a title fight for his charge with a win over the Tough Argentinean, Jose Saez, next Friday night in Toowoomba. Asis, who is on a winning streak of late, from knocking out number one ranked fighters in the US and demolishing anything that has been put in front of him, is set to fight Jose Saez on Smithy?s brings the big fights 4 on June 7, in Toowoomba. Smith made the remarks today with revelations coming that no top ranked fighter in Australia will fight Asis, and he believes rightfully so. ?I can?t blame these men, the likes of former world champion Billy Dib and current IBO world champion Will Tomlinson and other top Australian fighters in Paul Flemming, Joel Brunker and Brett Smith. I wouldn?t want one of my men to fight Jack either, he is lethal and getting better and better every fight. I say this with no disrespect to the fighter or their managers, as they all have great teams around them and are doing great things, but this is fact. I have tried to make fights with all of these fighters, but they have all said no as Jack is too much of a risk and as they are all currently rated higher than Jack, and they don?t want to risk surrendering their position. Despite this, Joel Brunker, Paul Flemming and Brett Smith have fought and are committed to fighting the fighters that Jack has demolished. I am here to promote my fighter and I sincerely say this with no disrespect to the fighters as they are all wonderful fighters, but again, this is fact. The only fighter and trainer at present, who is interested in making a fight with Jack is world champion trainer Billy Hussein and his champion fighter, Mohammed Elomar. But first, they have to beat Takamori Akita on June 15, then we will see if they interested again in negotiating this fight.? Smith went on to say, ?With a win over Saez, it?s time for me to pick up the phone and ring Golden Boy promotions who I have been aligned with for a long time and offer them the chance to become part of this fairytale story. I know Americans love fairytale stories, and if they ever want the biggest one to come out of America, Jack Asis is it.? Asis of course, came from living on the streets as a boy in the Philippines and swiftly became a household name in his home country and looked to have a promising career, however in the middle of his career began to take the wrong fights on short notice and wrong weight for money. Asis, who made the move out to Australia, started similarly, however has turned it around with a run of 7 straight wins and a new hunger for the sport that he loves so much. Smith finished in saying, ?Look out world, ?The Assassin? is about to make his mark.? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJ7dhiZ9ELQ&feature=youtu.be |
