CEBU – Virgilio ‘Maton’ Silvano will defend his Philippine boxing Federation (PBF) light flyweight title belt in front of his hometown fans against Loiue Arlos of Bacolod City at the Dalaguete Sports Complex.
The protagonists made weight during the official weigh-in Thursday morning at the GAB Office. Silvano stepped in at the division limit of 108 lbs while Arlos checked in at 106.75 lbs. An OPBF title shot awaits Silvano if he wins this fight. He is the number one contender and challenger of OPBF lt.flyweight titlist Shin Ono of Japan.
A co-feature in the fight card is former three time OPBF champion Randy ‘Komong Bato’ Suico, who looks to bounce back against William Jorge after suffering a TKO loss in Australia to Les Sherrington last November. Suico weighed in at 144.75 lbs while Jorge stepped in at 140 lbs. They will engage in a non-title encounter.
GAB supervisors Glen Agena and Rolando Mendoza oversaw the official weigh-in.
Also set for the undercards are Richard Rosales (107 lbs) vs Rowel Garcia (111.75 lbs) – 8 rounds, Charlie Pucdol (122 lbs) vs Jimmy Salogaol (121 lbs) – 6 rounds, Jimboy Haya (112.75 lbs) vs Kenan Villaflor (113 lbs) – 6 rounds, Jhack Tepora (118.5 lbs) vs Mark Tubo (117 lbs), Brandon Tavares vs late substitute Ritchel Rosales (122.75 lbs) who will be wearing 12 ounce gloves in this four rounder and Mico Reyes (106.75 lbs) vs Rez Padrogane (104 lbs) – 4 rounds.
