SMITHY BRINGS THE BIG FIGHTS 3 SET FOR MARCH 8 IN TOOWOOMBA

PhilBoxing.com

After two successful and exciting events, professional boxing will once again return to the garden city. While the opponents have not been announced yet the card will feature a stack of local and international talent.

Kris George will be returning to the ring for his 3rd pro fight, after winning his first two by way of first round KO. Also fighting on the night will be local cruiserweight Josh Webb, who will be looking to make amends for his spectacular KO loss in Toowoomba last October.

?Iron? Will Young who is growing a reputation as one of Australia?s most exciting fighters, will make his return to the ring after losing a controversial decision his last outing.
Adding to the international flavor of the card, Smithy?s promotions newest signing Englishmen Darren Askew will step into the ring for the first time under his new banner. Askew is renowned for causing upsets in England and will be looking to stamp his authority in Australia.

Finally, undefeated rising star ?The Great White? Brayd Smith will also return to the ring after fracturing his hand in three places during his last outing. Smith who is 5 wins from 5 fights with 4 by KO is looking to take another step up in his career in his push for success.

However there is another possible starter on the night in world number 17 and Filipino star Jack ?The Assassin? Asis. Asis, who is coming off a win over previously undefeated Maxisai Sithsaithong of Thailand, will be looking to continue his winning street and his rapid ascent toward a ?fairytale? world title, is currently in negotiations for his next fight which will take place on this card or on a bill in Townsville the week after.

This will be the third promotion by Brendon Smith?s Smithy?s Promotions since bringing boxing back to the darling downs after a ten year absence.

?I?m very excited to have the depth in this card,? said Brendon Smith.

?it?s only our third show back and the support from the public of Toowoomba has been fantastic. Every fight on this card is an important fight for these boys? careers and that factor alone will make for another great night.?
