NIETES, MEENDAENG MAKE WEIGHT FOR ALA STARS BOXING TOUR PhilBoxing.com Sat, 17 Nov 2012 Nietes (R) and Meendaeng at yesterday's weighin. WBO Light Flyweight Champion Donnie "Ahas" Nietes of the Philippines, his opponent Danai Meendaeng of Thailand and the rest of the supporting bout fighters of the ALA Stars Boxing Tour made their respective weights for their scheduled bouts today November 17, 2012 at the Lamberto Macias Sports Complex at the seaside City of Dumaguete in Negros Oriental, Philippines. Nietes came on the scales and weighed in at the exact contracted 110 llbs. limit while opponent Meendaeng came in at 109.5 lbs. in front of a great crowd of onlookers at the Robinson's Place in Dumaguete hours ago. Main under card fighters Jimrex "The Executioner" Jaca came in at 140 lbs. even while opponent Jaypee Ignacio weighed in at 141.1 llbs. The rest of the under cards with corresponding weights are Mark Vincent Bernaldez 122.5 llb. vs JR Mendoza 121llbs., Dumaguete City's Crispin Parba 129.5 llbs. vs Lydon Castillo 131 llbs. Two other Dumaguete trained pro boxing debutants made their respective weight and they were Steve Recaborda 107.75 lbs. and Ian Tevez at 105.5 lbs. going up against Jonathan Himongala 113 lbs. and Jaybee Galia 105.75 lbs. respectively. An Official ALA Stars Provincial Tour Press Conference was immediately held after the weigh-in yesterday at the Honey comb Tourist Inn where the members of the active and animated media shot their questions at the members of the days panel. The ALA Stars Provincial Boxing Tour is ALA Promotions way of giving back to the loyal boxing fans and the rest of the Filipino communities in the provinces for their endless support for Pinoy Pride, the Filipino boxers and Philippine Boxing in General.
