Danny O Fever Grips City of Boston

Clan O'Connor Ready for a Show of Force Tomorrow Night
at Boston House of Blues

The City of Boston has 'Danny O Fever', as few tickets remain for junior welterweight prospect Danny O'Connor's 10-round rumble with New York's Daniel "The Hudson Valley Kid" Sostre (11-5-1).

The pair will meet as the main event of a Boston vs. New York fight card tomorrow night (May 24) at the Boston House of Blues.

O'Connor (16-1, 4 KOs) will enjoy the full support of "Clan O'Connor", his army of fans, as well as that of de-facto manager and Irish rock superstar Ken Casey of The Dropkick Murphys.

Here's what the Boston newspapers are saying about O'Connor, Casey and this unique and exciting event tomorrow night:

Danny O Kicks into Gear
Career Gets Needed Boost with Help
of Murphys Star

By Ron Borges / Boxing Notes Boston Herald

By his count, Ken Casey has been in more fights than the young boxer he manages, Framingham junior welterweight Danny O'Connor, but none of his was sanctioned. On Thursday night, Casey will be in the real fight game for the first time in Boston, and he'll do it in a familiar venue.

The founding father of the Dropkick Murphys, Casey six months ago agreed to help the 27-year-old former amateur champion try and fast-forward a pro career that seemed becalmed in boxing's rough and often byzantine waters. READ MORE HERE

Boxer Danny O'Connor Dreams of a World Title

Kevin Paul Dupont
The Boston Globe

The world is yet to know Danny O'Connor, not at the level he hopes to be known, which would be to have his name up in lights, money in the bank, and a world boxing championship belt strapped around his hardened, tattooed belly.

But for now, Danny O'Connor is just a guy with a dream, an infant son, a loving woman he plans to marry, and a hope that his fight Thursday night at the House of Blues is a first giant step in the right direction. Is a nightclub just beyond Fenway Park's center field wall finally where the world gets to know Danny? READ MORE HERE

The House of Blues provides a unique three tiered setting with excellent vantage points reminiscent of classic boxing venues. The remaining standing-room-only tickets properly accommodate O'Connor's rowdy and rock-n-roll inspired fan base.
