Junmar Emon Fierce and Ferocious in Winning Pro Debut By Socrates Celestial PhilBoxing.com Sun, 13 May 2012 Mississauga, Canada - The fan base of the Hershey Center backed the pro debut of the stout Filipino, Junmar Emon. In round one, Emon took the center of the ring making Peron work the outside and amongst corners and ropes. Emon?s left hook found Peron at will, unprotected and at full capacity. Surprisingly, the fight was met on the inside where Peron was willing to trade. It was Emon controlling the pace and engaging many of the rallies. The fans roared every time the shorter fighter landed and won the engagements. Peron got caught with three nasty uppercuts and one left hook at the end of the round. The first stanza goes to Emon. Peron in the second round is now establishing his range. The fury comes out of both of the fighters exchanging wildly back and forth when Emon catches Peron with a straight right sending Peron to the ground assisted only by his right hand meeting the canvas. This scores Emon?s first knockdown of his professional career making round two a 10-8 round. Peron makes the count only to receive a relentless combination from the hungrier Emon. Emon is landing everything at will and looks ready to deliver more. Peron is only subject to use his defence and his ability to continue questions a possible stoppage. Peron livens up and lands two solid crosses. Emon responds with hooks and uppercuts. Round Two goes to Emon with a 20 ? 17 score. Round three had Emon scoring immediately. Peron is having a hard time figuring out the game plan and is unwilling to keep at a long range distance which would give him an advantage. His decision to rally on the inside with Emon is the downfall to Peron?s game plan and has robbed him of success tonight. Peron is pushing the aggression yet it is Emon winning the rallies with winning combinations landing a high percentage of power punches. Emon is landing viscous punches and forcing Peron to the ropes. Emon is winning the bout 30 ? 26 at the end of the third round. At the starting bell of round four, both fighters are showing signs of fatigue, yet both are ready and willing to trade. The Quality belongs to Emon; the desperate effort goes to Peron. Emon lands hard left hooks, uppercuts from both hands and straight rights that are unstopped since the beginning of the match. The jabs are absent tonight. Peron needs a knockdown to win by the end of the fourth and was unable to accomplish. The unofficial Scorecard has Emon winning the match against Peron with a 40 ? 35 score. A Unanimous Decision goes to Junmar Emon in his Pro Debut (1-0). Click here to view a list of other articles written by Socrates Celestial. |
