MAIN EVENT RETURNS TONIGHT ON IBC 13

The top rated weekly boxing show "The Main Event' returns tonight on the emerging free TV sports network IBC 13 which is being programmed by ABC 5, the network acquired by the eminent businessman-sportsman Manny Pangilinan whose passion for sports in legendary.
"The Main Event" will be telecast every Saturday on prime time at 8:00 p.m. over IBC 13, sponsored by Tanduay, the No. 1 Rhum.
"The Main Event' was off the air after Solar Sports re-programmed RPN 9 and unloaded all its sports programs including the NBA.
The initial offering on IBC 13 features one of the most promising young fighters from the talented Saludar family which includes Ray Saludar who won a gold medal at the last Asian Games in China and younger brother Victorio who bagged a bronze.
Undefeated Froilan "The Sniper" Saludar 11-0, 8 KO's) battles Thailand's Liempetch Sor Veerapol in the main event of a fight card before a huge crowd at the covered court in Imus, Cavite which is fast developing into a hotbed of boxing in Luzon.
At stake is the WBO World Youth flyweight title.
WBO Asia Pacific vice president Leon Panoncillo was the fight supervisor and the card was staged by well-know promoter Sammy Gello-ani. Both Gello-ani and Panoncillo believe Saludar has a bright future and is a potential world champion.
Moving forward in partnership with ABC 5 and its sports arm, "The Main Event" is expected to enhance the interest of fight fans with its continuing search for talented young boxers who are ready to step up and make a name for themselves.
