PhilBoxing.com

Manila- Another exciting anticipating event is about to take place as WBO Asia Pacific Youth Flyweight champion Froilan Saludar steps up to the plate to take on the very durable Liempetch Sor Veerapol of Thailand on February 19 in Imus, Cavite.

Fight fans are still buzzing at Imus Covered Court venue at Cavite about learning that the hot shot prospect of the Philippines called "the Sniper" is being supported as the next big thing coming out of the Philippines.

Saludar has been recently installed as adopted son of Imus, Cavite by the town's Honorable Mayor Homer Saquilayan because of his incredible boxing ability to put fighters to sleep.

It has been great that there is more participation of other Municipality of the Philippines to open doors for the sports of boxing, surely more prospect's will surely come out to display their talent, its a big break-through for Philippines professional boxing that other interested parties are supporting.

Promoters Sammy Gello-ani and Sampson Lewkowicz who have been a great support for the boxing sports of the Philippines, together with the World Boxing Organization brought new heights as they have been very effective in providing opportunities for all the fighters in this country.

The scheduled World Boxing Organization World Youth flyweight championship will be the first to be held in Cavite, Philippines hosted by the City Government headed by Mayor Homer Saquilayan and Municipalty of Imus as they prepare to do press conferences and motorcade three days before the event.

Froilan "The Sniper" Saludar has been the talk of the town since disposing two of his opponents by way of knock-out. The last two opponent of Saludar, Romell Obidos and Jecker Buhawe of Manila were considered to be formidable youth fighters with credible records however they were knocked out senseless in their respected Asia Pacific youth championship bouts against "The Sniper" a couple of months ago.

As news gathered about this new prospect going for the vacant WBO Youth World Title, people were still talking about the back to back early knockout by Saludar that they recently saw at Imus Covered Court venue last year.

Imus Fight fans are excited to see "the Sniper" back, they want to see Saludar against a foreigner who can test his skills and Veerapol has the tools to test his ability, said Gello-ani.

"Fight fans of the Philippines want exciting bouts, they want to see knock-outs and Saludar have proven this to Imus fans, this is why they want to see him again," said Gello-ani.

Saludar with a undefeated record of 10wins- 0loss and 7 knock rated number # 13 in the WBO world ranking have been training very hard for this opportunity. He is facing tough as nails Leimpetch Sor Veerapol, a durable youth with a lot of experience to his reference and notably a very respectable record of 28 fights, 20wins 13 by way of knock-outs and 8loss going into the fight.

After the hard fought fight against former two time former world champion Brian Viloria, the hard hitting Veerapol bounced back to win against Chatchai Monthol Gym (11win-6loss-5KO) yesterday, via 1st round knock out.

This surely is building up to be a great fight that everyone will be anticipating, both fighters will be eager to knock each other out as Veerapol camp wants to avenge his past loses in the Philippines by knocking out Saludar to win the vacant WBO World Youth Title. It should be an explosive affair as the result will surely end up with only one man standing said Gello-ani.

Froilan ?The Sniper? Saludar is the brother of Asian Games gold medallist Rey Saludar and Bronze Medalist Victorio Saludar. (PR)
