Thai Promoter hires Fil-Am Bobby Villaver to prepare Terdsak Jandaeng for the Silver World Super Featherweight Crown

Fil-Am trainer Bobby Villaber (L) poses with Thai contender Terdsak Jandaeng.

Chaengwattana, Thailand ? One of the most renowned promoter in Thailand, Kokiet Panichayarom of Kokiet Group Promotion has informed that Filipino?American trainer Bobby Villaver was tapped to take charge on the training of Terdsak Jandaeng who is set to take on WBO Latino Featherweight champion Carlos Ricardo Rodriguez of Argentina for the vacant WBC Silver World super featherweight title at Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand on October 4, 2010.

Villaver was credited for the outstanding win of Somsak Sithchatchawal for the WBA world super bantamweight title against then super champion WBA world champion Mahyar Monshipour on March 18, 2006 at Palais des Sports Marcel Cerdan, France via knock out on the 10 round. That was the last of Monshipour streak of wins defending his title before hitting a brick wall against Somsak Sithchatchawal.

There was also other fighters Bobby trained, including the controversial decision of Prawet Singwangcha versus Jose Miguel Cotto at Coliseo Angel, Salinas, Puerto Rico on May 11, 2007, regardless that Cotto was from there, Puerto Rican fight fans was outraged on the decision of Thai boxer Prawet Singwangcha got after his clear domination win against Jose Miguel Cotto, to end up, only getting an unpopular draw scores of 114-114 twice and 117-111 in favor of Cotto, that showed clearly a home town decision.

Water under the bridge, Villaver has no regrets on the past but only to push harder forward to again put his pupil to the test this October 4, 2010. ?I am here in Thailand to give my best and train Terdsak the right way and making sure he will be in 110% conditioned to fight, as I believe he will knock out Carlos Rodrigues to win the WBC Silver super featherweight world champion. I left my two kids and wife to be here at Thailand for Terdsak Training camp and I have only one mission, it is to win,? said Villaver.

Being a Filipino decent, Villaver informed this writer that he is also working with some prospects at Philippines namely, Anthony Marcial, Jerwin Anchas, Froilan Saludar, Adonis Cabalquinto and Rodnie Rafols that he feels that surely with the right training and American coaching technique that they will surely go somewhere.

Fil-Am Bobby Villaver was born in Carcar, Cebu, Philippines and later at the age of 5 years old, his family migrated to Hawaii and the rest is history.
