CUELLO’S OPPONENT HOSPITALIZED: March 27 Fight Postponed
By Chito Yu Katangkatang PhilBoxing.com Thu, 25 Mar 2010

News from Monterrey Mexico. The March 27 Minimumweight title fight between our very own Denver Cuello and Mexico’s Juan Hernandez has been postponed to an indefinite date due to the hospitalization of Mexican boxer. According to Aljoe Jaro,
Cuello’s manager and promoter, Hernandez fainted during training which according to his camp might have been caused by his diet in order to reduce weight. The boxer was too drained and hence his body gave in. WBC Executive Director Mauricio Sulaiman wanted to protect the health of the Mexican boxer and thus decided to re-schedule the fight to another date soon which will be discussed by both camps.
According to Jaro, Denver will go back and continue training in the Philippines until the next schedule which will be very soon. Jaro will remain in Mexico upon the invitation of Sulaiman and the Promoters of the postponed bout to watch the fight between Erik Morales and Jose Alfaro which be held on Saturday. Jaro together with promoter Ignacio “Nacho” Huizar will also sit down and finalize the next date of the Cuello vs. Hernandez bout.
