PINOY MEDIA TO COVER DOMINGO-ROCHA BATTLE PhilBoxing.com Tue, 18 Nov 2008 LOS ANGELES--Expect Filipino mediamen to be at the forefront of the coverage when ALA Boy Michael Domingo of the Philippines takes on Mexican Nestor Rocha in a 10-round bout on Friday at the Morongo Casino Resort and Spa in Cabazon, California. This will be a battle of world-ranked fighters, with WBO no. 8 Nestor Rocha going up against WBO no. 14 Domingo in a card that will also showcase Jhonny Gonzalez versus Reynaldo Lopez. Philboxing.com will be represented by Dong Secuya, Salven Lagumbay (also of Cebu Daily News/Inquirer), Dr. Ed De la Vega, and Las Vegas-based Ferdinand Dalope. RMN-DYHP as well as SunStar Superbalita will be represented by Edward Ligas. "We have already coordinated with Golden Boy Promotions' Ramiro Gonzalez, and he already allowed us to cover the event," said Secuya, who along with the group, will immediately motor back to Las Vegas the following morning to catch up with the Rey 'Boom Boom' Bautista-Heriberto Ruiz battle underneath the Hatton-Malignaggi fight at the MGM Grand. Ligas, who is doing his first coverages on American soil, has thanked the organizers for the chance to bring to Filipino fans updates of the fights. "Golden Boy Promotions, as always, is very accomodating to our requests for accreditation.
