GBP EXEC ERIC GOMEZ ARRIVES IN CEBU TODAY

Golden Boy Promotions (GBP) vice-president Eric Gomez is set to arrive in Cebu today with WBO Asia Pacific chairman Leon Panoncillo to be at special ringside for this Saturday's "Laban na Banal" card at the New Cebu Coliseum.
Gomez and Panoncillo plane in on a Philippine Airlines flight from Los Angeles via Manila, accompanied by another of Oscar De la Hoya's childhood buddy.
Gomez will represent Oscar De la Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions, which is putting up this show with ALA Promotions, ABS-CBN and the Cebu City government.
This major boxing extravaganza will be telecast by the giant broadcast network ABS-CBN ?live? over Studio 23 at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, with a replay the following day at 9:45 a.m. over giant broadcast network ABS-CBN.
International matchmaker non-pareil Sampson Lewkowicz blew into town yesterday, and even found time to face select mediamen in a press conference hosted by the ALA Promotions last night held at the ritzy Casino Espanol's Madrid Room.
Meanwhile, ALA Promotions will hold the final press conference for the event on Thursday, while the official weigh-in takes place on Friday 11AM at the SM Activity Center, the first ever local event to do so in a big mall.
