Laurente to still fight Casido on Feb. 26

UNDEFEATED Criztian Pitt “The Golden Boy” Laurente (8-0, 5KOs) of General Santos City will push through with his fight against super featherweight Vicente “Enting” Casido (6-3-1, 2KOs) of Dumaguete on February 26 at the Sanman Gym in General Santos City.
This was revealed by his promoter, former champion and now promoter Gerry Penalosa of Gerrypens Promotions Inc.
“Dayun fight kay Pitt sa Sabado, singgit lang sa Sanman,” said Penalosa in a Facebook message.
The Laurente-Casido fight was supposed to be held last February 5 in Bogo, Cebu as the main event. But the medical doctor Dr. Jose Unabia of the Games and Amusement Board in Cebu denied Laurente a fight on the day of the bout.
Laurente was about ready to climb the ring when he was told by the doctor that he can not fight.
“Naa na result ni Pitt sa echo nya sa ECG, normal tanan, fit to fight,” said Penalosa.
Penalosa, who was already disappointed, asked Laurente to take his medical examination again. Laurente again got the negative result of his medical last February 9.
