NEW YORK (April 26, 2021)- This past Saturday night at the Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee, Florida, brothers, Joseph and Jeremy Adorno remained undefeated as lightweight's Joseph and Jamaine Ortiz fought to a highly contested eight-round draw; while Jeremy took a four-round majority decision over Ramiro Martinez.
The Adorno brothers are managed by Split-T Management.
Joseph dropped Ortiz twice; once in round two, and again in round seven.
The fight was action filled from the onset as Adorno landed the more telling blows. He landed a left hook to the side of the head in round two that put Ortiz on the canvas. Adorno landed the heavier blows throughout, and in round seven, landed a big uppercut that sent Ortiz in between the ropes for a 2nd knockdown.
That knockdown could have been a fight ender, as Ortiz was prone in between the top and 2nd rope, but Ortiz was allowed to continue.
The card gave Ortiz a 76-74 advantage, while two cards were even at 75-75.
Adorno of Allentown, Pennsylvania is now 14-0-2.
Like his brother, super bantamweight Jeremy Adorno, 20 of Allentown, Pennsylvania took on an undefeated fighter as he tangled with the tough Martinez.
Jeremy showed his superior boxing skills and picked Martinez apart from the outside. Martinez got credit for coming forward, but Jeremy landed Consistently and was the class of this fight.
Jeremy took the fight by scores of 40-36, 39-37 and 38-38 to raise his mark to 5-0.
Joseph and Jeremy Adorno are promoted by Top Rank.
