ONE-ON-ONE WITH PACMAN CONDITIONING COACH ERIC BROWN

WHAT an astounded Bob Arum saw a few weeks ago at the Wild Card Gym is something that Manny Pacquiao normally does.
In an exclusive interview with the Sports Radio?s daily morning program ?Sports Chat?, Pacquiao?s conditioning trainer Eric Brown said the Filipino boxing sensation has been consistently dedicated with his training.
Pacquiao, 29, will battle Juan Manuel Marquez of Mexico on March 15 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada. Marquez, 34, will stake his World Boxing Council (WBC) crown in their 12-round encounter where the coveted Ring Magazine 130-lb crown will also be up for grabs.
Brown said it has always been a welcome puzzle for them to think of ways how to control Pacquiao?s work ethic.
Brown added that Pacquiao wants to make a statement for this particular fight since the Filipino boxing sensation knew he failed to prepare fully in their initial encounter back in May 2004 at the MGM Grand Garden also in Las Vegas.
Brown has been working with Roach for quite some time but this is only the second time for the Detroit-native conditioning expert to handle Pacquiao.
Brown was the main man in the conditioning department when Pacquiao trained for his rematch with another bitter Mexican rival Marco Antonio Barrera October of last year.
Among Brown?s marquee clients were heavyweight Lamont Brewster, former world champions Calros ?Famoso? Hernandez, James Toney and Vernon Forrest.
Brown took over as conditioning coach after Roach and longtime partner Justine Fortune parted ways due to differences in splitting their take on Pacquiao?s fight purse.
