NBA Daily: Nets Snare Pelicans in Overtime 108-101

Boracay Island, Philippines – Spencer Dinwiddie had 31 points, 2 rebounds, 7 assists, and 1 steal to help the Brooklyn Nets beat the New Orleans Pelicans 108-101 in overtime on Tuesday night (Wednesday morning, Philippine time) at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Joe Harris added 24 markers, including 5 triples to go with 6 boards and 3 dimes. Third year center Jarrett Allen was a monster on the shaded lane, scoring 12 points on 6-for-7 field goal shooting, corralling 14 rebounds, and swatting 6 shots for Brooklyn, who were without injured starters Kyrie Irving and Caris LeVert.
The Nets are now at 7th place in the Eastern Conference team standings with a record of 15 wins and 12 losses.
Brandon Ingram topscored for New Orleans with 22 points, on top of 10 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 blocks. Jrue Holiday and Lonzo Ball added 21 and 10, respectively for the Pelicans, who dropped to a 6-22 win-loss card.
Up next for the Pelicans are the Timberwolves in Minnesota on Wednesday night (Thursday morning, Philippine time).
Meanwhile, the Nets will visit San Antonio to face the Spurs on the following night.
