Johnny Smith of Northern Ireland faces Lee Ji Hoon of Korea for WKN InterContinental Welterweight title

The World Kickboxing Network makes its second visit to Northern Ireland this year with the next edition of PROKICK held at the Clayton Hotel in Belfast on June 23. The Saturday-Fight Special presented by Billy Murray is headlined by WKN Intercontinental championship - EUROPE vs. ASIA.

The contest features local favorite Johnny "Swift" Smith, representing Europe, up against Korean Lee Ji Hoon, representing Asia. The pair squares off in the scheduled for five rounds title bout in oriental kickboxing.

Undefeated Johnny Smith (7-0, 4 KO) is riding the 7-fight win streak, which including 4 victories by way of KO/TKO. His resume also includes the 17-4-2 amateur record. In his previous outing in February "Swift" Smith defeated Christos Venizelou of Cyprus by a unanimous decision.

Billy Murray, promoter of the PROKICK event, who is himself former kickboxing world champion in four different weight classes stated: "Johnny has been training non-stop for this match, actually, he hasn't stopped training since starting way back in 2009 that's when he had his first match. From then he has traveled as far as Japan to compete, won a world amateur title and is unbeaten as a professional. He is so ready for this title match! Winning this match will take him one step closer to his dream, ‘to be a professional world champion’. But let's get this fight over first and win this crown then and only then we’ll look at the world title."

Lee Ji Hoon (26-8, 7 KO) is a current welterweight champion of Korean promotion MAX Fighting Championship. Over the course of his career he defeated Choi Hoon, Na Seung, among others.

Lee Ji Hoon, WKN Intercontinental Welterweight title challenger stated: "The WKN title match is coming soon, I am ready and will do my best. I will come back to Korea with the championship belt."
The rest of the card features a series of amateur bouts with local and international competitors.
