Shavkat Rakhmonov vs. Danila Prikaza

Khadis Ibragimov vs. Rafal Kijanczuk
March 30 in Almaty, Kazakhstan

SAINT PETERSBURG, Russia (February 22, 2019) - M-1 Global announced today that M-1 Challenge 101, featuring a pair of M-1 Challenge title fights, will be held March 30 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

In the main event, undefeated national hero Shavkat Rakhmonov (10-0, M-1: 5-0), of Kazakhstan, will battle vaunted Russian striker Danila Prikaza (11-2-1, M-1: 8-20) for the vacant M-1 Challenge welterweight title.

M-1 Challenge light heavyweight champion Khadis Ibragimov (7-0, M-1: 3-0-0) makes his first title defense against unbeaten challenger Rafal "Kijana" Kijanczuk (7-0, M-1: 3-0-) in the co-featured event.

M-1 Challenge 101 will be live-streamed from Kazakhstan in high definition on www.M1Global.TV. Viewers will be able to watch the preliminary fights and main card by logging on to register at www.M1Global.TV. Fans may watch all the action on their computers, as well as on Android and Apple smart phones and tablets. WKG & M-1 Challenge 101 will also be is available onwww.FITE.TV(preliminary card is free, $7.99 for the main card).

Fighting at home, the 24-year-old Rakhmonov will certainly be the crowd favorite. He has finished off all 10 of his opponents, half by knockout and the remainder by submission, during his 3/1/2-year pro career. His last M-1 fight was a year ago, when he defeated Levan Solodovnik at M-1 Challenge 87, by way of a second-round submission (triangle choke).

Prikaza has won his last five fights in a row, three by sensational knockout, including his most recent action, last December at M-1 Challenge: Battle in Atyrau, stopping Eduardo Roman in round two.

Ibragimov (see below) captured his coveted M-1 Challenge light heavyweight title last August at M-1 Challenge 96, using a rear-naked choke to submit Dimitriy Mikutsa in the second round.

Polish invader Kijanczuk is a powerful puncher who has stopped all seven of his opponents to date. He is coming off an impressive opening-round demolition of Giga Kukhalashvili last December at M-1 Challenge: Battle in Atyrau.

This gifted quartet of fighters guarantees a memorable night of tremendous entertainment and rugged competition on March 30th for Kazakh fans in attendance, as well as MMA fans around the world watching all the action on M-1Global.com.

All fights and fighters are subject to change.
