EARLY VEGAS FIGHT RESULTS! By Salven L. Lagumbay PhilBoxing.com Sun, 07 Oct 2007 LAS VEGAS--Superstar Manny Pacquiao will go into tonight's show wearing a white-and-red trunks, while Mexican icon Marco Antonio Barrera will be in a flaming red trunks. Pacquiao will be fighting out of the Red corner, while Barrera takes the Blue corner. The Francisco Bojado-Steve Forbes fight is up next... The first bout between Alejandro Perez and Jaime Villa has just started. The undefeated Perez is wearing the custom-made mouthguard done for him by Dr. Ed De la Vega Alejandro Perez has just scored an impressive fifth round TKO over Jaime Villa. Official time was 27 seconds of the fifth round. Villa was down a total of four times. Referee Robert Byrd called a halt to the fight. Filipino Michael Farenas vs Mexican Arturo Valenzuela is up next. Fight is over! Farenas scores a second-round technical knockout over Valenzuela. The Mexican was downed in the first, and the Filipino rained blows in the second to prompt referee Russell Mora to stop the bout. Official time is 58 seconds of the second round. Third fight will be between Vicente Escobedo and Miguel Angel Munguia. Escobedo has just won a unanimous decision over Munguia. Scores were 70-74 (twice) and 80-72.
