FORMER WBO CHAMP FIL-AUSSIE LOUISA HAWTON IS A WORLD BEATER
By Epifanio M. Almeda PhilBoxing.com Wed, 28 Jun 2017
 Louisa Hawton.
Louisa Hawton's mother is Maria Santos, a Filipino from Digos, Davao del Norte. Her ring monicker is "Bang Bang Lulu". Louisa, who lives in Perth, Western Australia, has a 7-0-0, 3 KOs record todate.
Louisa won the WBO 108-lb world title by beating Japanese Kei Takenaka (11-1) via 10-round decision on 20 August 2016.
As she really weighs only 102 lbs, she says she vacated the 108-lb title so she would become the mandatory challenger to the 105-lb title being held by another Japanese, Kayoka Ebata. Louisa is confident her Australian matcthmaker, Mike Altamura, will make her fight with Ebata soon a reality.
Louisa happened to be banging the heavy bag at the Suncorp Stadium while IBF world junior bantamweight champion Jerwin Ancajas was doing his own training for his 2 July 2017 2nd defense against Teiru Kinoshita.
Louisa's performance with the bag caught the attention of Jerwin's manager, Joven Jimenez, who sees in Louisa the makings of a female world beater.
