Porras, Tesorio, Rota are locked and loaded for Feb 26 in GenSan PhilBoxing.com Fri, 17 Feb 2017 Glenn ?The Rock? Porras, Jovany Rota and Renren ?Rainman? Tesorio are all set and ready to go against their different opponents in the coming ?Laban Pinoy 3: Rise of the Champions? on Feb. 26 at the Lagao Gym in General Santos City. Porras, a former WBO Asia Pacific Youth bantamweight champion from North Cotabato is facing "Iron" Ben Mananquil of Sanman gym for the vacant World Boxing Federation (WBF) International bantamweight title. ?This will be a great fight. I will not tell our game plan just be there on Feb 26 and you will see.? said Porras, who has been training at the MP Davao Gym. Porras (29 wins-5 losses-0 draw-17 knockouts) said that he will use his ring experience against Mananquil (12 wins-1 loss-2 draw-3 KOs) to become a champion again. After more than 3 years of absence, the 31-year old Porras successfully made a comeback last year by beating Renante Suacasa via a unanimous decision in President Roxas Gym, North Cotabato. Porras, who is now handled by the Singapore-based MB Promotions said he will come 100 percent ready and will look to stop Ben Mananquil. Rota (9 wins-9 losses-6 KOs) of Butuan City is not afraid of Eden Sonsona?s impressive ring record of 35-6-2 with 12 knockouts. ?I hope Eden won?t underestimate me. I was given a two month notice for this fight by the promoter that is why I?m very prepared to fight,? Rota said. Rota, who last won via a 1st round technical knockout against Phil Angcamor last June 13 in Bukidnon has just got married last January and is dedicating his fight to his wife. Eden and Rota are vying for the vacant WBF International super featherweight crown. Tesorio, a former Philippine light flyweight title-holder with a record of (15-9-3-4 KOs) is facing Eden?s younger brother Lolito ?Thunder Shot? Sonsona (20-1-4-9 KOs) for the vacant WBF Asia super flyweight crown. ?We have trained really hard for this. I know Tesorio can beat Lolito,? said Tesorio's trainer Jonathan Penalosa. ?I hope Lolito Sonsona is prepared for I will come to his hometown 100 percent in shape. I will be champion again,? said the 24-year old Tesorio, a native of Palawan. Tesorio previously lost by a controversial split decision to former world champion Edrin Dapudong last December 23 in Davao City. The other championship fight is the main event featuring Jade Bornea (6-0-0-4 KOs) against Raul ?Vulcan? Yu (9-1-2-8 KOs) for the vacant IBF World Youth super flyweight.
