OMEGA PRO SPORTS INTERNATIONAL'S WHO'S NEXT? PRO BOXING SERIES POWERED BY HYUNDAI THIS JULY 30TH PhilBoxing.com Mon, 25 Jul 2016 Cebu, Philippines- The Philippines fast rising boxing promotional organization OMEGA Pro Sports International is set to stage the second installment of their WHO'S NEXT? Pro Boxing Series this July 30, 2016 at the chic Robinsons Galleria Cebu Atrium. OMEGA Pro Sports International known for its exciting match-ups will be featuring two championship fights that will feature a WBO Asia-Pacific Youth title bout coupled with a WBF Asia championship match and seven other exciting bouts on the undercard. The championship event will feature OMEGA Boxing Gym fighter Jhack Tepora (W 17(KO 12) L 0 D 0 who will defend his WBO Asia Pacific Youth Super Bantamweight title against hard punching Bryan Capangpangan (W 10 (KO7) L 2 D 1). This main event match-up is sure to be an exciting one as both fighters sport contrasting styles with Tepora being the cerebral counter-punching fighter and Capangpangan the aggressive pressure fighter. Also to be featured in the co-main event of the WHO'S NEXT? Pro Boxing Series EVENT 2 is the highly anticipated classic brawl-type match-up between Kenny Demecillo (W 10(KO 7) L 3 D 2) and Rambo Lagos (W 8 (KO 5) L 1 D 2). Both fighters are known for their non-stop action style of fighting which is a must-see for boxing fans to enjoy. Demecillo will be defending his WBF ASIA title which he won against promising prospect Daryl Basadre late last year. As supporting main event bouts, two other promising prospects will be paraded with the young KO sensation Christian Araneta (W 12(KO 9) L 0 D 0) of OMEGA Boxing Gym and former Olympian Mark Anthony Barriga of J.S. Promotions. Araneta will agaim be tested by veteran Charlie Cabilla (W 14 (KO 2) L 18 D4) in a rematch. Araneta won the first encounter with a TKO win which he had to work hard for. The young Araneta of Borbon, Cebu boasts of a high KO% rate and has won against WBO Oriental Light Flyweight Champion Jesse "Little Giant" Espinas via TKO on the 2:45 mark of the 8th of their 10 round bout September 12, 2015. Barriga for his part will be up against neophyte Melvin Manangquil for his professional debut. Other thrilling match-ups includes Jimboy Haya vs Fabio Marfa, Feljun "Baby Face" Taneo vs Lenmar Prescillas, prospect TomJune "Warrior" Mangubat vs Arnel Acebuque in six round bouts, Mark Vicelles vs Jesrel Corabal and debuting fighters Marjun Piencenaves vs Andrei Navarro in opening four round curtain raisers. |
