JASON PAGARA CO-HEADLINES PINOY PRIDE 37 AGAINST ABRAHAM ALVAREZ OF MEXICO PhilBoxing.com Tue, 21 Jun 2016 WBO ranked #1 Jr. welterweight Jason ?El Ni?o? Pagara (38?2-0) will co-headline ALA Promotions? second US event, 'Pinoy Pride 37: Fists of the Future' this July 9th at the San Mateo Event Center, CA. Jason arrived late May in LA with Mark Magsayo, who is also in town for his September 24 preparation. Pagara will be fighting as the card?s supporting main event in a 10-round match against Mexican Abraham Alvarez (21-9-1). After close to a month?s rest from his last fight underneath the Donaire-Bedak world championship bout in Cebu last April, Pagara is excited to be fighting alongside his brother. ?We are determined to give the fans a good show. Our training for the past weeks have definitely been better compared to when we were with all the other fighters from our gym in the Philippines. Right now, both our coaches are only focused on the three of us,? said Pagara. Pagara?s first US fight was in October last year when ALA Promotions staged its US debut event at the Stubhub Center in Carson, CA on Pinoy Pride 33: Philippines vs the World where he scored an impressive 2nd round knockout against former WBA super featherweight Interim title challenger Santos Benavidez. Jason?s opponent, former Mexican super lightweight champ Alvarez on the other hand, just got off from a recent win last June 11 in Mexico. Some of the notable fighters he has gone up against with are 2015 WBA world super lightweight champion Jose Benavidez and former IBF Pan Pacific welterweight champion Wale Omotoso who also fought WBO World Welterweight Jessie Vargas. Tickets for Pinoy Pride 37: Fists of the Future are available online via http://www3.ticketon.com/event/FIST-OF-THE-FUTURE-PAGARA-VS-JUAREZ/327637 for U$75 (floor area-red section), U$50 for the blue section, Gold and Silver at U$35 and U$20 respectively, and U$ 20 for the Silver bleachers.
