ALBERT PAGARA INTENSIFIES TRAINING AT WILDCARD GYM PhilBoxing.com Tue, 14 Jun 2016 Headlining the 37th and second US series of the longest-running Boxing show in Asia, ALA Promotions? Pinoy Pride Fists of the Future, the young Pagara has been intensely training since arriving in LA mid May. Now with less than a month away from his big fight, Albert Pagara looks ready to defend his WBO International Jr. Bantamweight Title against Mexico?s Cesar Juarez. ?Our training here in LA has so far been great for Albert,? says Head Trainer Edmund Villamor. ?We have our conditioning sessions in the morning with Nick Curson and in the afternoons, shadow boxing, bagging, then working on the mitts, and abdominal exercise for a total of 12 rounds. Albert has already sparred close to a hundred rounds with other fighters at the Wild Card Gym too.? When asked about how he has been since his early arrival in LA, Pagara claimed he is training for an impressive win. ?I am aware how big this fight is and how the result will determine my Boxing career, but I am confident because of how my training has been. What my team have focused on are some of the skills we can develop to counter Juarez? strengths, as what we have seen on tapes. You see, he?s not just another hard-hitting Mexican opponent for me. He?s THE Mexican fighter who gave Nonito ?The Filipino Flash? Donaire a hard time on the ring, and that?s not something I should just disregard. I am in deep rigorous training, so I can deliver an impressive win and move forward to whatever is next for my career as a boxer.? The team will be moving to San Francisco on the 19th, closer to the fight?s venue at the San Mateo Event Center, to promote the event with partner TV network ABS-CBN International (TFC).
