DONAIRE IS NEW IBF FLYWEIGHT KING!

When it rains, it pours.
This as the Philippines added yet a new world champion to its fold in just a matter of hours when Fil-Am Nonito Donaire mercilessly stopped the erstwhile unbeaten IBF/IBO flyweight king Vic Darchinyan in the fifth round at the Harbour Yard Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA.
A big left from Donaire landed flush on Darchinyan's jaw just as the latter was about to unleash his bread-and-butter left that sent the Australia-based fighter down on his back.
The win was Donaire's 18th in 19 fights, with 11 KO's and 1 loss.
The brash Darchinyan slipped to 28 wins, 1 loss with 22 KO's.
Hours earlier, Filipino Florante 'The Little Pacquiao' Condes became the first Pinoy world champion in a long while after dethroning Muhammad Rachman by split decision here in Jakarta.
