CHONGQING, CHINA – Five title belts will be at stake this Thursday November 2 at the Wansheng Sports and Culture Stadium. Qu Peng (12W-1L-1D,8KO’s) of Dalian, China will battle Russian Gasan Gasanov (14W-5L-1D, 2KO’s) for the vacant WBO Asia-Pacific light heavyweight title and the WBA Asia title (top photo).

Aside from the two regional belts, a top fifteen ranking in both organizations await the winner. Qu weighed in at the division limit of 175 lbs while Gasanov stepped on the scales at 173lbs. Gasanov lost to Fanlong Meng in his bid to win the WBO Oriental belt last January in Shijiazhuang,China. Qu, a familiar face when Seca and Top Rank were promoting big fight cards in Macao, beat Robbie Mendes by TKO in Chicago last May.

There will be two WBO Greater China titles to be disputed. Fu Kaisheng and Yang Yongqiang, both undefeated, will fight for the vacant WBO Greater China light welterweight title. Fu weighed 138lbs while Yang was at 139lbs.

The official weigh-in was held at the fight venue and supervised by the Professional Boxing Commission (PBC) of China.
