DAVAO CITY (PNA) Dec. 20 – A Christmas boxing card will be presented by the KPS Boxing Promotion on December 23 at 6 p.m. at the Almendras gym in Davao City.

The main event pits former IBF Pan Pacific flyweight champion Ryan Rey “Mr. Pogi” Ponteras (17 wins-11 losses-1 draw-9 KOs) of Panabo City against former Luzproba light flyweight champion Renerio “Amazing” Arizala (13 wins-4 losses-1 draw-5 KOs) of Masbate for 10 rounds.

The 26-year old Ponteras has won all his last four fights, three of them by knockouts. He previously scored a unanimous decision against Javar Damar last October 15 in Pigkawayan, Cotabato.

Ponteras earlier knocked out Margarito Moya, Charles Canedo and former Luzproba champion Geboi Mansalayao. Ponteras scored a 4th round technical knockout against Rusalee Samor to win the IBF Pan Pacific flyweight crown on December 26, 2012 in Bangkok, Thailand.

The main supporting bout will feature former IBO world super flyweight champion Edrin “The Sting” Dapudong (32-6-1-20KO) of M’lang, North Cotabato against former Philippine light flyweight champion Renren “Ranman” Tesorio (15-8-3-4KO) of Palawan also for 10 rounds.

The 30-year old Dapudong previously knocked out Ronerex Dalut in the 2nd round last Aug. 27 in Kidapawan City, while Tesorio lost his Philippine light flyweight crown by a UD to Lester Abutan last June 18 in Laguna.

The 24-year old Tesorio also bowed to Japanese Daigo Higa by a 10th round TKO for the WBC Youth World flyweight crown last Nov. 7, 2015 in Tokyo, Japan.

The undercard will have Romel Asenjo versus Mario Sandoval (8 rds-108 lbs.), Lorenzo Villanueva vs. Richard Betos (8 rds.-130 lbs.), Michael Javier vs. Roel Garcia (8 rds.-115 lbs.), Gerald Alvarez vs. Rolly Bersabal (6 rds.-104 lbs.), Jerry Pabila Jr. vs. Carlito Antaran (6 rds.-112 lbs.), Jovanie Tagusi vs. Mark Glen Antaran (4 rds.-112 lbs.), Jayson Bayson vs. Roger Salaton (4 rds.-105 lbs.).
