Filipino former World Boxing Organization world champion and now challenger Manny Pacquiao shows media men why he is capable of winning back the title he held twice before when he host Wednesday (Thursday in Manila) an open media workout at the Wild Card Gym in the heart of Hollywood Los Angeles in California.

Wednesday’s affair is the only such event for the eight division titlist held jointly in with his long-time promoter Bob Arum and 15-year handler Freddie Roach, owner of the Vine St. boxing gym.

The soon-to-be 38 ring icon and lawmaker will actually showcase how far his initial two-month preparation in Manila has gone with only 11 days left before he meets face-to-face the Mexican-American current 147-pound belt holder.

The Pacquiao-Vargas 12-round encounter is set November 5 (November 6 in Manila) at the Thomas & Mack Center located inside the University of Nevada campus in U.S.’s vice city of Las Vegas.

Autograph signing, photo opportunities and one-on-one interviews with Arum and Roach will be accorded members of the press starting at 1 p.m.

Pacquaio takes his turn meeting the men and women of the press at 2 o’clock after which the former two-term congressman representing the province of Sarangani tries to impress his guests on the results of the little less than 80 rounds of sparring with up-and-coming Mexican-American light-welterweight and stablemate Jose Ramirez and promising local boy Leonardo Doronio.

Add the more than a hundred rounds of doing the mitts with Roach himself and assistant trainer Buboy Fernandez since opening the Manila camp on August 23 which led his men to pronounce Pacquiao ready to box on the day Team Pacquiao left the Philippines last Saturday.

Already owning the distinct honor of being the only man to win 10 world crowns in eight weight divisions in the history of the sweet science, the current ‘Fighter of the Decade’ and three-time ‘Fighter of the Year’ honoree of he Boxing Writers Association of America, is also seeking to become the first incumbent senator to win a boxing world championship.
