Las Vegas, Nev -- Three-time champion Sugar Shane Mosley battles Manny Pacquiao's tonight in a fierce stab at snaring Pacman's WBO welterweight crown at the MGM Grand Arena..

Sarangani's boxing congressman is Mosley's path to regain fistic respect he once had.

Hype over for the fight ? Is it 'Showtime' for Kid Pomona?

Power and timing, That's the mantra.

Power stays when properly harnessed and timing is vital when it comes to execution,

That's what the 'young' Mr Mosley is banking on in his quest for recognition..

Does the Pomona veteran still has what it takes to topple the Pacman?

Sugar Shane is unfazed by the mounting odds stacked in Manny's favor ."I don't care if the odds are not in my favor.. No big deal. I plan to win big and nothing can stop me from making it happen"--- Shane tells your Counterman.

So confident he can beat Manny that he's thinking of a Mosley Pacquiao II Redemption, right after he surprises the Philippines' Idol with what he calls "upset of the century".

"If Mosley starts the way he did with Floyd Mayweather Jr. he'll pay for this folly" says Manny's coach Roach.

"No daring punch swaps in the early going" . I'm not about to expose Manny to Mosley's power" assures Roach. This, in obvious reference to Mayweather's moonwalk when he got tagged with wicked shots.

No early round bravado that can open Manny to Shane's counterblows" adds the five-time coach of the year awardee.

Pacquiao on his part likes Mosley's plan of an early combat.

"Yan ang gusto ko para masiyahan ang tao." (That's what I want so fans will be pleased) the Pacman enthused.

Are we looking at a termination of the bout between the world's obliging warriors before the rounds are out?

"Absolutely" says peripatetic Michael Marley of the Examiner.

The bronx oracle predicts that in the first three rounds Pacquiao and Mosley will be throwing bombs that's likely to result in knockdowns. .

"The quickened pace" continued Marley will slow Shane markedly. The Pacman will work at his frenetic pace and Sugar Shane will be taking more shots that can end his gallant stand in the 9th round" Marley said.

The end of a beaten but unbowed Mosley---awarding Pacquiao another forcible retirement of a worthy opponent who Mayweather could only beat by decision.

Another storybook ending for the Filipino ace?

Hey. No surprises if you get to see Mayweather Jr. lining up left-handed sparring partners. for a year-ending special.

One never knows if Pretty boy Floyd jr.gets lucky and strikes gold in 'dem thar hills.
